"Some of your own regrets are also not as ugly as you thought they are."
This was such a powerful message brought across so beautifully with regards to her tattoo she got herself at the age of 29 by Kathryn Schulz. "We need to learn to love the flawed, imperfect things that we create. And to forgive ourselves for creating them." I've a big issue with forgiving myself coz literally, everyday, every single day it hits me. I keep beating myself up over and over again with my thoughts and the single echo that I hear within - "I could have done better cause I surely did know better". So really, just hold on to the fact that, "Regret doesn't remind us that we did badly. It reminds us that we know we can do better." To let the past hold you back from moving forward is just foolish. So, as painful and hard as it might be, let go and break free from the past that has chained itself onto you very firmly. |
