The City That Never Sleeps

I realise that handling one at their best is pretty much an easy feat. You just have to laugh, smile, do happy stuff and be happy. But, when it comes to handling one at their worst. That's the more important thing and the key to relationships surviving actually. It's not easy to react to another's sadness, sorrow, disappointment, anger, frustrations and struggles. If even with time, you don't master the art of resolving issues at the right time, that's when things start piling up and you begin to realise that this isn't the way how things should be. This isn't the way how you should be feeling about the person you actually thought you could be with for the rest of your life. And that's when you decide to pull the plug. Goodbye and the end.

Having said that, I'm definitely a tough nut to crack at my worst. Coz as much as I hate to admit, I've sadly inherited those issues from you. Just exactly as how you are right now and have decided to shut people out. I've always wondered how he has managed to still stand by you through all the silent nights coz I strongly believe each argument should be resolved by the end of the day. Sleeping over it hardly solves the problem. Yes, you are obviously not thinking about it first thing in the morning when you wake up. But, it's there. And all it takes is another moment for it to be triggered and there you go again. Your patience is something I've always admired and respected more.
