I sometimes wonder why we always choose to go a step further? Is it because we care too much or coz we decide to fulfill our responsibilities/tasks to our best? For me at least, more often than not, I realize the only thing that drives me is friendship. There are many things which go unrecognized in the course of time. There is only so much that a pompous sounding appraisal can say. Be it with regards to something you are paid for or not. Coz usually money is the yardstick used to measure effort. How true a yardstick is that? That I leave, for all to ponder. Be it with regards to extra responsibilities you have decided to shoulder for whatever the reason might be. Humans have this tendency of evaluating life in terms of cost and benefit. Only if the benefits are worthy enough, we decide to go forth and put in effort into something. Otherwise, it is often brushed away without much thought. But somehow, although I am very much tuned to work life out in that fashion, I find a special joy doing it for friendship. But of course, not all friendships live up to it's worth. Some get lost along the way. But, the ones meant to be, will and shall always remain coz life just work's like that. Amen.
