When World Cup finals is at 2.30AM local time and no goddamn team manages to get the ball into the net within 90 minutes and extra time is played (thank god, no penalties!), productivity at work is minimal when everyone hits the office like zombies. Some poorer also. For me, productivity was zilch and I lost a decent amount over last 2 games. Despite Big Boss being nice enough to call up last night to inform the pleasant news that we can arrive at work an hour later than the usual half past nine, I'm still suffering from major insomnia. I was secretly hoping for work after lunch actually. Abit too much eh. So, I've been trying to keep myself awake by hydrating myself constantly. But, it's not helping. And staring at the computer screen is making my eyes even more tired then they already are. Sheesh. So much for the spirits and frenzy of world cup. At least, an exciting finals would have done justice to the disrupted sleeping patterns of many and the amount of stash spent on McDelivery and Singapore Pools. Just disappointing. Both teams were trying to compete with each other on getting more yellow cards rather than actually taking proper freekicks. Let alone score. The play of both teams just went to show that neither deserved to be in the Finals of WC. Brazil do me proud in 2014. It's your home soil. It's your ground. It's your cup. Till then waka waka, vuvuzelas, jabulani, maradona, paul, mani; let me wave the flag of this beautiful game, football, and bid my farewell. World Cup 2010. You were just a disappointment.
