The City That Never Sleeps

Recently there has been much talk about guys not being able to keep his pants on literally. So much light on Jack Neo, Tiger Woods. Read Life today, Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James has been rumored to be having an affair with a California Model. The writer can still go on writing if the affair is confirmed Sandra Bullock can join a list of other females who have lost their marriages after being Oscar winners. You begin to wonder why these men seem to stray so easily and how they managed to do it. And what reasons they have, if at all really. Last week fellow undergrad posted on Soci forum that it is sociologically explained that females tend to seek only 1 partner and remain faithful to them while the male species tend to wander around to satisfy their needs. Strait Time's on Sunday had an article on how wives tend to forgive the husbands so easily even after affairs just to keep the family unit together. Are we giving the males too much space? When are we gonna make our voices heard? Its really time for us to stand up and make our voice heard and try so hard to forgive just to avoid losing face. Cmon. Any marriage can't survive an affair whatever the circumstance maybe for a person to err. I'm not going to be all feminist and say only men can stray.

After all the excitement and hype Marrina Barrage had created with its scenic view and awesome place for kite-flying, photography and just chilling, I was pretty disappointed with what I saw. Was trying to find the feedback channel for barrage earlier to first and foremost request the management to improve it's sanitation. The flith in the toilets were comparable to those at Tekka Market before its renovation. Not too sure how odour level is right now. With all the complaints that Indians are smelly and what not, the majority group in Singapore definitely can do better. And yesterday wasn't even a public holiday or Sunday for that matter. I'm sure the management can do better la. Also the scenery was marred coz of construction works going on. And even the journey there was like going to some god-forsaken place. Only plus point would probably be the architecture of the place. Probably my first and last time to barrage in some time.

Had dinner at cafe cartel after the late arrival of the birthday girl, trying to stuff the balloons into the Picnic, squeezing through the small door to Marina Square without realising there was a bigger door. Were excited by the Happy hour promo which happened to be only on pasta choices, snackers and iced coffee drinks. 50% off since it was after 9pm. But before all you people dash off to Cafe Cartel lemme just warn you! Pasta amounts are reduced proportionately to what you are gonna pay. Cheddar fries come with no cheese and iced coffee drinks become diluted and occupy only half of the glass it is served in. Talk about profit maximisation. Cafe Cartel is the best! But fine shan't complain for 11 bucks.

And lately I envision myself tripping over and finding myself pinned down under some vehicle. Its pretty scary. Now that I've spoken about it I hope not to think of it as much. But I'm gonna watch my step even more cautiously now.
