The City That Never Sleeps

In case you are already excepting a Strait Times review, sorry to disappoint. Yesterday's Sunday Times was uninteresting. Nothing worth mention in my eyes.

Today is Monday. Cooping myself up in my room and succumbing to minimal distractions proved very worthwhile and satisfying indeed. Managed to complete 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 out of 7 chapters of managerial economics. Mid term on Saturday. Trying to ace it and secure a decent percentage out of the 30% weightage. 2 more chapters and mock mid term papers to try out over the week. Plus revision session with Nazia on Thursday. Week has begun fruitfully. Nice. Maybe March would be a better month for all of us.

Which reminds me how come I didnt hear the 12 noon bell today? Ah. Forgot I slept beyond 12 today. Not very suprising I know. Or maybe at 12 I was dreaming. I dreamt about participating in the national day parade this year. And marching on my own not in sync with my platoon mates. Don't ask me why in the world I have such crazy dreams. Oh best part. I got singled out my the President of USA haha no Singapore and got a nice scolding session from him. How totally random and wierd la when this national day, plans to breathe Phuket air are in progress. Maybe a sign NDP this year would be in Phuket.

Caught Vinnai Thandi Varuvaiya on Saturday with Karthi. Last minute plan. But managed to get the tickets nonetheless. The songs have been stuck in my head since Saturday night. The cinematography was beautiful. Both Simbu's and Trisha's chemistry was well captured on screen. Simbu's acting was great since his character this time round wasn't his usual ones. After this movie, I'm sure his girl fan base has increased. I am semi-included in that coz I fell head over heels in love with a particular dance move of his in the song Hosanna. Praise be to love. A very simple storyline about love. Despite the ending receiving extreme reactions among the audience, I for one truly enjoyed the twist Gautham brought to the movie. The aspect of reality wasn't lost. Probably would be my movie of the year. Cheers to Gautham for a beautiful film indeed. Its really been a while since tamil movies have actually lived up to the hype it creates. Hoping to catch this and my name is khan another time if possible, amidst busy weeks ahead. 2 beautiful films in the month of February.
