Work is catching up as always with week 5 just kicking in. ICS matters are becoming exhuasting by the day. Real uphill task ahead of us till AGM I would say. And thereafter another set of issues await us. But what's life without challenges. Shall take it all in my stride and complete my responsibility to my level best.
The past weekend was hectic but memorable nontheless. Made a trip to Mandai Zoo Saturday morning for IRCC Family Day with the grandmother. Was a nice morning spent watching 3 animal shows. I think the my last visit to the zoo is too distant that none of the surroundings seem familiar to me though the mother recognised one of the staff during the splash safari show. Was a enjoyable Saturday though I would pass for another trip anytime soon. Haha. Me and animals quite far apart afterall. I would rather complete the henderson waves properly. The full stretch that is. Was a good start though from Mount Faber to Henderson waves where we laughed and snacked over the $4.60 cards. Today is monday. How can I possibly not mention about the Sunday times. Haha. Yesterday's Straits Times editorial aptly featured an article by a local writer venturing on a Saturday morning to Ubin to cycle with a group of friends. How apt indeed as I've made exactly that plan for this Saturday with my group. Except that for me cycling is still within my comfort zone. And will Singaporeans do the jobs foreigners don't think twice before taking up even if the pay were to be higher? I don't think so. I had to laugh out loud at the statement where the writer said singaporeans wouldn't mind training under the hot sun for a marathon or trialathon even but would sulk if their profession had anything to do with toiling under the hot sun or 'sweating more than required'. Irony indeed la. Only when school begins I realise there are so many things I want to achieve in life apart from reading modules I am required to and get the damn degree. There has to be more to life. Period. |
