The City That Never Sleeps

Just watched Freedom Writers. A truly inspiring movie of an english language teacher Erin, played by Hillary Swank, who goes beyond the scope of her job to lend a listening ear to her students. Blacks and whites. The only person who believed in them amidst all the violence and tension in class and their society. Believed they were capable much more than reading second grade novels. Constantly echoing in them the hope for change to happen and taught the "unteachable" kids.

Not the usual way to welcome the new year but freedom writers indeed.
