The City That Never Sleeps

Imagine that isn't really the kind of movie I would plan excitedly to go catch once it's out in the cinemas but after catching it I must say it was really a good, lighthearted film with just the right amount of substance to tug at your heartstrings. The slight ways she tries to show her dad how she needs his attention amidst all the other antics, craziness, dreams, imaginary friends and all is nice to watch. At the end of the day, it is the people you love that matter wherever they may be under whichever circumstance.

And deepavali this year which fortunately fell on a Saturday was definitely better than previous years. It had to be coz we had some sort of a day 2 to savour meat. But whatever the reason was to gather, the excuse was a good one coz the company for the day was great. The conversations to laughters to boredom here and there to abit of teardrops to the whistle crackers to my camera filled the day well and whole. And of coz trying to keep the youngest cousin occupied was abit of a challenge. But it went all well. It is a nice feeling seeing the younger cousins grow up, mature and involving themselves more in conversations. Hope my mum's side cousins would at least remain reasonably tight even if we no longer are able to gather at my grandparents place for the annual 'reunion'.
