The City That Never Sleeps

The time was nearly 6.05pm. As my ipod was on the repeat mode playing a few tunes stuck in my head, I walked past my primary school trying to fill myself in with all the familiar scents and scenes that was in front of me. The hordes of parents, siblings waiting to pick their son or daughter up, waiting for the final bell for the day to sound, to wish the first kid running down those steps from the assembly to the gate would be theirs to embrace and give a peck for having survived yet another day in school. The scene was all just too familiar except mine was a good 13 years ago. Alas! I wish I were that kid wearing a blue pinafore searching for someone to guide me back home.

And I was just thinking that parents always say their kids are priceless. It just seems that mine may have bought it with a price unknowingly, I suppose. At least till February. Oh well.

I’m craving for Subway!
