The City That Never Sleeps

This writing would never do justice to the visuals Clint Eastwood put together for the movie Changeling. The mind blowing 142 minutes, I swear was the most well crafted movie I’ve caught in a really long time. The movie no doubt left me emotionally void after that. The acting by Angelina Jolie as well as the supporting cast made even a simple story plot so outstanding. Certain parts of the movie were so heart-wrenching that I was literally holding my heart in my hands. The conversation Christine Collins has with a physcho man who is facing is death the next day. The words she just needed to hear. The certainty. The uncertainty. Frustration. All of it came out just right to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Seeing him ascent to the rope of death and he wishing he had more time on his side. The struggle he goes through. The search she never wants to give up and the hope that her son will be back. The battle she has to fight against the corrupt LAPD. The fight to prove her sanity even. All of which spoke volumes of how far someone would go for the one you love. Which also made it all so familiar at times.

A must watch – Changeling.

Even a re-watch if you willing to literally squeeze your heart with your hands again.
