The City That Never Sleeps

For the majority of people who spend their time on redundant things, there is another group of people just living to catch up with time. The endless rushing to meet deadlines, to get the long overdue Christmas present, to have lunch with a client and the list goes on. Half the time, we spend just keeping up with time. Or at least trying to. Has life just come down to rushing everywhere. Are we always really that busy or do we just paint ourselves with the idea that we are, when actually we are not. Are all the things we attend to in a day really urgent or are we just cramming everything into 24 hours? Do we do the things that require immediate attention first or jumble all the things on the to-do list together? Why not learn to pace things out? Give ourselves more time in between and during attending to tasks. Savour the moment that you can function to do the job. For having acquired the knowledge to do so. For not only being in the capacity to do so but also for having the competence to do it. Isn’t that itself a skill, an art rather? For only humans like us can do that. Get yourself organized. You don’t always have to rely on technology to do that. Just get your mind organized and everything else will fall into place naturally. Plan each day. It’s ok or at least normal to just go with the flow once in a while. But get the things that need to be done first then enjoy the rest of the day you have left. And also at the same time. Don’t get caught up in the extreme case scenario where you hardly have any time for yourself and the people around you also. Divide equal time for work and play. Reserve time for yourself to contemplate about issues, discover yourself, overcome your weaknesses and identity your strengths. Also allocate some time to maintain relationships with loved ones to socialize, interact. Don’t coop yourself to only your world. Get to know people. Understand people. How they think, react, behave. Be a better man as each day passes by.

Religion. Death. Very controversial topics I must say. The creator decided to bring life to the Earth and so we Man were supposed to be created. But how was the first Man even created? Who was it? Adam? After that was it Eve and so on? And if yes so that’s how human civilization came about. Then how about religion? Which religion came first and how did to transpire to humans? Why did so many religions come to play over time? Did it all branch out from the same one? Who is the ultimate God then? The one who wrote the very first religion? All the teachings from the Bible to the Q’uran who dictates? Is the message the God tries to send all the same? What is the underlying message then? And are we all born Muslims? And if so does that mean that Islam appeared first? How is Christianity and Islam related then? They seem similar at least whenever you hit any website on Islam the word Christianity somehow comes about. What is the relation? How did Hinduism appear then? Which period of time? Who founded it? Are we born with the religion just because our parents had that religion. And is religion about finding truth? Truth about? And death. What does each religion say about death. Where do we go after death hits us. The soul leaves our body. What happens. We don’t believe in Hell and Heaven. But Muslims do. So do we just live to earn good points so that we end up in heaven cause heaven is always portrayed to be the blissful, calm, peaceful one with Nature while Hell is fire, pain, suffering deemed for the sinners. So do we just live our lives fearing what happens to us eventually. Pray five times a day so that we don’t earn that bad point from God. He blessed us with life to be human in this life. In the next, since Hindus believe in reincarnation, depending on our Karma we will take another form maybe an animal or even an innate object. And so, after 7 lives, we reach the Ultimate. Do we all go to the same place. And so when is it we come back to Earth again? Who decides. We always say happenings of the day, good or bad, is all God’s act? Who is this God? Is it the same for all religion regardless if you are born a Muslim or Hindu?

I wonder and am trying to seek knowledge for all my questions. To understand the unseen as the Q’uran says.
