The City That Never Sleeps

Mother’s day was apparently non-existent. A day to celebrate for many with their mothers for raising them up. For giving them life. For bearing them for 9 months. For being there for them. For being the pillar of strength. For bring the one always there for them to turn to at any point of time for advice, encouragement, motivation or just a listening ear. A day to pay tribute to all the mothers.

I still seem to have one, but a very non-existent one.

Sometimes it’s better to have nobody than to have everybody and yet have nobody.

And so, I thought I knew you. I seem to have been fooling myself to believe that I knew you. I really thought I did. But you have proven otherwise. You’re ripping my heart yet again. Yet again, another reality check - I love too easily.

Memories are the closest I have for now to hold close.
